Three businesses reap the benefits of using the Online Business Licensing Service to find and apply for licences and benefits.
Udon-Bo Fast Food Restaurant Pte Ltd
- Mr Shee Tek Lic, general manager of Udon-Bo Fast Food Restaurant Pte Ltd, was hard pressed for time.
- The restaurant was opening in two weeks and he needed to get hold of two licences:
- licence for the import, export and transhipment of meat and fish products
- registration to import processed food products and appliances
- Using OBLS, he managed to get both licences within a day. Mr Shee said: "The OBLS… enables businesses to reap huge time savings through online application."

- Mr Ang Chi Siang, Director of Imperial Concepts Pte Ltd, used OBLS to apply for Employer Registration.

- Mr Tee Hock Sng, founder of Holler!Mobile, an online retailer of mobile phones and accessories, was new to the mobile phone business.
- OBLS helped him to identify the licences and permits that he needed. Mr Sng said: “I learnt that I needed Singapore Police Force’s Secondhand Dealer’s Licence to sell used handphones and Singapore Custom’s Central Registration Number to trade internationally."
