Singapore's Ministry of Manpower (MOM) is making some changes to its foreign worker policy.
The changes, including an increase in the foreign worker levy for skilled workers and widening the quota for S pass category, are aimed at moderating demand for foreign workers.
The levy for skilled foreign workers will go up from the current S$100 to S$150 from January 2007.
MOM is also taking steps to ensure that companies don't suffer due to a shortage of workers, especially in the services sector. - TODAY
