A land parcel zoned for a wet market and food centre in Sengkang was launched for sale by public tender yesterday.
Located next to Sengkang MRT station, the 6,000 square metre site has a maximum gross floor area of 4,000 square metres. The development will house an estimated 100 stalls offering fresh market produce and cooked food, parking lots and a passenger pick-up point.
Under the tender, the private operator will have to:
- develop the site by 31 December 2010
- manage the market and food centre for an initial term of 5 years, with options for another 2 terms
