Singapore's media sector can look forward to a new integrated media hub - Mediapolis@one-north - to develop and market local media content to international markets.
Scheduled for completion in 2020, the 19-hectare hub in Buona Vista will house:
- soundstage complexes for producing high-definition and 3-D movies
- digital production and broadcast facilities
- media research firms
- digital media schools
- games and animation studios
- sites for outdoor movie screenings and on-location filming
Media businesses can also tap into the S$100 million Integrated Media Fund to develop feature films, television series, and animation and gaming content over the next 5 years.
Set up by Salon Media Management Pte Ltd and the Media Development Authority (MDA), the fund will support international co-production media projects.
