The Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) is expected to release more transitional office sites owing to the strong demand in last week's tender for a 15-year leasehold plot.
The government has set up transitional office sites as a temporary measure to counter the shortage in offices. URA is also offering more 99-year leasehold plots for office development in the CBD.
These include 3 pending tenders to close in the following months. The tender for a commercial plot in Anson Road closed on 28 August. Two other tenders for 'white' sites at Marina View near One Shenton and the former Beach Road camp are slated to close on 19 September and 13 November respectively.
