The STARetailer Programme is a voluntary programme for retailers at Sim Lim Square. Participants set themselves apart as honest and upstanding retailers.
For who?
- Retailers at Sim Lim Square to signal to tourists and local shoppers that they provide quality products and service assurance.
- Tourists and local shoppers to easily and quickly identify retailers at Sim Lim Square who provide quality products and service assurance.
For what?
- Retailers at Sim Lim Square who voluntarily participate in this programme are allowed to display the STARetailers logo at their store.
- Retailers under this programme must pledge:
- not to sell products above RRP
- to be honest
- to issue official clear & concise receipts
- to refrain from abusive language or conduct
- to remain courteous & polite at all time
- to provide good after-sales service
- to train & employ well-trained and knowledgeable staff
Things to note
- STB supports the programme by distributing STARetailers booklets which highlights participating outlets, and by carrying the pledge in marketing collaterals where possible.
- STB also publishes the names of errant retailers to warn tourists in their publications and on the Visit Singapore website.
- Tourists who wish to lodge a complaint against errant retailers can call 1800-7362000 (toll-free in Singapore).
