Singapore Quality Class For Private Education Organisations (SQC-PEO)

SQC-PEO is a mark of organisational excellence awarded to private education organisations with sound business management systems.
Aims
- To encourage PEOs to strive for organisational excellence by providing benefits (e.g. waiver of security deposit for international students) to PEOs that have achieved SQC-PEO status.
- SQC-PEO is part of the Education Excellence Framework which aims to raise the academic, organisational and student protection and welfare standards of PEOs in Singapore.
For who?
- Singapore-based Private Education Organisations (PEOs).
- Your business is a PEO if you/your business:
- offers education and training
- falls outside Singapore’s public school system
- is a foreign-system school
- an EDB-promoted private institution
- PEOs can be:
- privately-funded
- operated as commercial/not-for-profit enterprises
- PEOs do not need to be registered with the Ministry of Education (MOE) to apply for SQC-PEO certification.
For what?
- To encourage PEOs to achieve organisational excellence and get certified as SQC-PEOs by providing benefits to SQC-PEOs.
- To become a SQC-PEO, you will need to go through a certification process which involves:
- carrying out a self-assessment of your organisation
- implementing systems and processes to achieve excellence
- certification by an external assessment team

- Your organisation, once certified as SQC-PEO, will enjoy these benefits:
1. “Green Lane” Processing Of International Student's Passes
- Reduced processing time of Student's Passes from 4 weeks to 2 weeks
- Student's Passes are valid for full duration of course
- Waiver of security deposit for international students
- Waiver of interview
