CaseTrust for Education is compulsory certification for private education organisations (PEOs) that wish to enrol international students.
Aims
- To raise student protection and welfare practices and standards of PEOs in Singapore.
- To instil confidence in international students and their parents.
- CaseTrust for Education is part of the Education Excellence Framework which aims to raise the academic, organisational, and student protection and welfare standards of PEOs in Singapore.
For who?
- Singapore-based Private Education Organisations (PEOs) that wish to enrol international students.
- Your organisation is a PEO if you are any one of the following:
- an education provider outside Singapore’s public school system
- a foreign-system school
- an EDB-promoted private institution
- PEOs can be:
- privately-funded
- operated as commercial/not-for-profit enterprises
- CaseTrust for Education is open to both PEOs that must register and those that do not need to register with the Ministry of Education (MOE).
For what?
- To ensure PEOs have high student protection and welfare standards by making it compulsory for PEOs to obtain CaseTrust for Education certification before PEOs can enrol international students.
- To obtain CaseTrust for Education, you must implement student protection and welfare standards. Details can be found in the CaseTrust for Education Information and Application Kit (PDF).
