Precision Engineering (PE) Manpower Initiative
Programmes under this S$76 million initiative are designed to upgrade the skills of the precision engineering (PE) workforce holistically.

Aims

  • To upgrade the skills of the precision engineering (PE) workforce holistically to meet industry challenges and demands over a 5 year period.

For who?

  • Singapore-based businesses in the PE industry.

  • Engineering students who wish to join the PE industry.

For what?

  • National PE Specialist Programme which provides funding to businesses that enrol their PE Specialists into a 5-year structured in-employment PE training programme.

  • National PE Scholarship Programme which offers scholarships to top engineering students to take up specialist diplomas in PE.

How much?

National PE Specialist Programme

  • Training allowance of S$20,000 over 5 years

  • Sponsorship for approved upgrading courses

National PE Scholarship Programme

  • Sponsorship for 3-year PE diploma course 

  • Sponsored overseas industry attachment for top students

  • Allowance of S$800/month during course 

  • Support Package of S$36,300 - S$51,300 which covers tuition fees, monthly allowance and overseas attachment
