Why Do F&B Businesses Join RAS?

  • RAS helps the F&B industry develop their capabilities – IT, manpower, branding, franchising, etc – through events, seminars, workshops, training courses and consultancy services. Members get special discounts and rates.

  • In recent years, RAS has actively formed ties with overseas F&B associations to make inroads for their members in foreign markets.

How Does RAS Work With The Government?

  • RAS works with International Enterprise (IE) Singapore to help F&B businesses venture abroad. For instance, RAS and IE Singapore signed Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with F&B associations in China, USA, Korea and Malaysian to pave the way for local F&B businesses to enter these markets.

  • RAS works with the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) to develop Singapore Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) training and skill certification programmes for the F&B industry.

  • RAS works with SPRING Singapore to develop and improve the capabilities of F&B establishments through initiatives such as the Customer Centric Initiative (CCI) for F&B and Local Enterprise and Association Development (LEAD) for F&B.
