What Does NEA Do?

What Is The Relationship Between NEA & My Business?

• NEA also licences and regulates F&B establishments (food shops, food stalls, hawker stalls, pubs, clubs, etc). You need to ensure that you:
  
  
  • apply and obtain a licence to operate your F&B establishment
    
    
  • maintain your licences under the Points Demerit System (PDS)
    
    
  • register all your food handlers with NEA
    
    
  • follow NEA’s Code of Practice on Environmental Health when designing and laying out your premises
    
    
  • follow NEA’s guidelines when setting up designated smoking corners
    
    
  • get all the necessary approvals from NEA for electrical works, alterations and additions you wish to make to your hawker stall
