When do I need this licence?
- You need this licence if you wish to operate a food processing establishment, cold store or slaughter-house. Food processing includes manufacturing, preparing and packaging food to distribute to wholesalers and distributors in Singapore.
- This licence is only applicable to F&B businesses that want to carry out these activities. Small F&B outlets that purchase processed/slaughtered ingredients from suppliers do not need to apply for this licence.
Who is eligible to hold this licence?
- All businesses registered with the Accounting & Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA) including sole-proprietors, partnerships and companies.
- Please note that you must be the legal occupier of the premises you are using for food processing, as a cold store or slaughter-house to apply for this licence.
Who is not eligible to hold this licence?
- Individuals cannot apply for this licence. Individuals need to register as sole-proprietors with ACRA to apply.
- Societies registered with the Society of Registrars also cannot hold this licence.
What are the licence fees?
