What Is PDS All About?
- PDS, developed by the National Environment Agency (NEA), is a systematic way of monitoring the compliance of F&B establishments to environmental health regulations.
- Demerit points are awarded for violations. When F&B establishments accumulate excessive demerit points, their licences to operate may be suspended or revoked.

Who Does PDS Apply To?
- PDS applies to all retail F&B establishments e.g. hawker stalls, restaurants, cafés, food stalls in food courts, coffee shops, etc.

How Does It Work?
- NEA will periodically inspect your F&B establishment to check for violations against environmental health regulations. There are 3 categories of offences:
- Category A - Serious Offences (6 points)
- Category B - Major Offences (4 points)
- Category C - Minor Offences (2 points)
- For each offence, you will receive demerit points. Your licence will be revoked/suspended according to the following:
