SIMTech develops high value manufacturing technology and human capital to enhance the competitiveness of Singapore’s manufacturing industry.

Launch Date Formed in 1993 as Gintic Institute of Manufacturing Technology (Gintic).

Renamed as SIMTech in 2002.

Aims

  • To increase the competitiveness of the Singapore manufacturing industry by developing high value technology and human capital.

For who?

  • Manufacturing businesses in the electronics, semiconductor, precision engineering, aerospace, automotive, marine, medical technology and logistics industry.

For what?

  • Businesses can approach SIMTech to:

    • collaborate on research & development (R&D) projects 
    • license and use technologies developed by SIMTech 
    • participate in consortia to develop technologies
    • co-develop technologies 
    • second research scientists and engineers
    • join the SIMTech Membership Scheme (SMS) as members to participate in networking sessions, discounted courses, seminars and workshops
    • kick-start their R&D projects or departments

  • SIMTech has completed more than 880 R&D collaboration projects with businesses.
