Getting started

1. Go to “Apply New Licence(s)” on the OBLS Homepage.
   
   
   Note: You do not need your SingPass to find the licences and permits. SingPass is only required when applying, renewing, terminating or updating your licences and permits.

2. There are 3 ways to navigate and search for the right licence or permit.
   
   (a) Keyword Search [tips]
   
   Choose to search in either the “Licences” or “Industries/Business Activities” category.
   
   
   • Choose “Licences” to find licences and permits related to your keyword(s).
     
     
   • Choose “Industries/Business Activities” to find industries/business activities related to your keyword(s).
   
   
   (b) Navigate by Industry/Business Activity [tips]
   
   Use this method to find all the licences, permits, approvals and registrations relating to a particular type of business activity or industry. Start-ups will find this method very useful.
   
   
   
   (c) Navigate by Government Agency [tips]
   
   Use this method if you know which Government Agency issues the licence/permit.
   
   

3. There are 4 things you can do after finding the right licence/permit.
   
   (a) Read more about the licence or permit
   
   
   
   (b) Apply for the licence or permit
   
   Check the box next the licence/permit you need, and click on “Next”.
