Step-by-Step guide on applying for Infocomm@SME - Accounting Software Assistance Scheme

Before you apply

1. Learn more about Infocomm@SME - Accounting Software Assistance Scheme on Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA)’s website.
   
   
2. Ensure that your business qualifies for the grant.
   
   
3. Choose the accounting software listed in Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS)’s Accounting Software Register. Request for quotations from the vendor.

4. Download the Application Form (EXCEL).
   
   
5. Complete and submit the Application Form with all supporting documents. A list of supporting documents can be found on Part 3 of the Application Form.
   
   
6. Wait for IDA to reply.
   IDA will take about 2 – 4 weeks to evaluate and approve the application, upon full submission of the completed Application Form and the required supporting documents.

7. Receive Letter of Offer, Claim Form and Terms & Conditions from IDA.
   
   
8. Accept the Letter of Offer and return the Acceptance Form to IDA.
   
   
9. Purchase the accounting software as stated in the Letter of Offer.
   
   
10. Pay for all the purchases (including any deployment/installation and training services) in full.
    
    
11. Keep proper financial records of the purchases and payments. (E.g. invoices, receipts and bank statements showing payment relating to the project).
    
    
12. Use the accounting software to generate the IRAS Audit File (IAF) and email the IAF to IRAS at gst@iras.gov.sg.
    
    Note
    The IAF must be for ONE prescribed accounting period within the Qualifying Period stated in the Letter of Offer. You will receive an email acknowledgment from IRAS once the IAF is successfully received and in order. The email acknowledgement is required for the submission of claims.

13. Complete and submit the Claims Form with the required supporting documents listed in the Letter of Offer and Claims Form.
    
    Claims must be submitted within 6 months from the scheduled completion date of the project.
    
    
14. Upon full submission of the completed Claims Form and required supporting documents, IDA will take about 3 - 6 weeks to process your claims and reimburse you.
