Premises

  • When dealing with premises, businesses will need to be familiar with property and contract laws, e.g. a rental agreement is governed by the laws of landlord and tenancy (property) and contract.

  • The laws are determined by case law and many of the English principles of law that have been adopted by Singapore.

  • Property law deals with matters such as:

    • rights of owners of property
    • transfer of property rights
    • rights of landlords
    • rights of tenants
