For who?
- Singapore-based businesses who wish to upgrade and certify the culinary skills of their employees.
- Individuals who wish to enter the culinary profession or make a mid-career switch.
- Recipients (i.e. the trainees) of this grant must be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents.
For what?
- CRAFT aims to develop and train local chef talent through classroom and apprenticeship training at F&B establishments in Singapore. WDA funds part of the course fees and the trainee’s salary during the apprenticeship training.
- CRAFT is based on the F&B Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) framework. Trainees will graduate with 3 nationally-recognised qualifications under the framework:
- F&B WSQ Certificate in Food Preparation
- Higher Certificate in Culinary Skills
- Advanced Certificate in Culinary Skills
How much?
Things to note
- Trainees must work in the F&B industry for at least 1 year upon graduation.
- Trainees must meet the entry requirements to the courses set by the training provider. The training provider accepts certificates under the ESS Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) system.
- Individuals who wish to apply should approach the training provider. The training provider will find apprenticeship placements for you at F&B establishments.
