Get up to S$400,000 in incentives for companies to adjust their human resource practices in order to recruit, retain and re-employ more mature workers.
For who?
Any company that is registered or based in Singapore.
For what?
- To assist companies who change their human resource (HR) practices, working environment and operational processes to recruit, retain or re-employ more mature* workers.
- Some examples of HR practices or operational processes to help increase the employability of mature workers:
- include re-employment policy as a standard HR practice
- redesign job or use of equipment and machinery to raise productivity and enhance friendliness of workplace to older workers
- introduce flexi-work arrangements or shorter work hours to mature workers
- provide career and retirement counseling especially for workers withdrawing their CPF at the age of 55
- implement performance management system
- wage restructing to move away from seniority-based wages to more job-based, competency-based and performance-based wages
How much?
- The ADVANTAGE! Scheme provides a grant of up to S$400,000 for the cost of consultancy or staff salary (pro-rated to direct involvement in implementing the initiatives), equipment and Intellectual Property Rights.
- The grant cannot be used for subsidising staff holding cost such as retention bonus, medical benefits or salary support.
Things to note
- WDA also works with their partners, Singapore National Employers Federation (SNEF) and Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (ASME) to conduct training programmes to assist companies make adjustments to their HR policies for re-employment of mature workers.
