Capability Development Scheme (CDS)

Get a grant to sponsor your staff for media-related courses and overseas attachments.

For who?

  • Singapore-based media companies.

  • Trainees must be media professionals who are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents.

For what?

  • To encourage media businesses in Singapore to send their staff for courses and overseas attachments to:

    • acquire advanced specialist media-related skills
    • gain international experience
    • network locally and internationally
  • The training areas under CDS are:

    • creative skills (e.g. producing, directing, scriptwriting, cinematography and set design)
    • business management skills
    • new and emerging media technologies

How much?

  • Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA) co-funds up to 50% of the qualifying expenses, subject to a maximum of S$15,000 per trainee.

Things to note

  • Self-sponsored trainees must be Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents with at least 6 years of working experience in the media industry.
