- Singapore-registered businesses in any of the following tourism sectors:
- Hotel
- Inbound Travel
- Attractions
- Meetings Incentives Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE)
- Education
- Healthcare
For what?
- To accelerate the adoption of technology innovations that enhance visitors’ experience or improve business efficiency in the tourism sector.
- Examples of technology innovation projects supported under TTF are:
- digital media* or in-room entertainment (for hotel) services
- mobility services (m-services)
- security with IP-based technologies
- e-Services (web services)
- identification & personalisation services
- location-based awareness services
- self-service technologies
- business networking services (for MICE)
- tracking technologies (for inventory, crowd control)
How much?
- There are two levels of funding under TTF:
- First-Mover Innovations: Up to 50% of qualifying costs.
- All Other Innovations: Up to 30% of qualifying costs.
- For your project to qualify as a First-Mover Innovation, it must meet all these 3 criteria:
- your technology innovation should be the first of its kind or your business should be the first to apply existing technology in new ways
- your project must be able to benefit the whole sector
- others in your sector can also implement your innovation.
- Qualifying Costs include:
- Professional Services
- Equipment, Software & Materials
- Marketing costs
- Non-Qualifying Costs are:
- Any hardware & software costs not related to the project (e.g. operating system, anti-virus, Microsoft Office)
- Manpower-related costs (e.g. internal manpower costs, maintenance costs)
- Others (e.g. translation services costs)
Things to note
- The project must be carried out in Singapore.
- Please do not start on your project until your application has been approved.
- In order to receive the funds, you must meet the conditions and deliverables set by STB.
