Get a grant to invest in energy efficient equipment or technologies.
For who?
- Singapore-registered owners or operators of existing or proposed industrial facilities sited in Singapore.
For what?
- To encourage companies to upgrade to more energy efficient equipment or technologies.
- To qualify, your proposed project must:
- involve the installation and use of energy efficient equipment or technologies with a proven track record of energy savings in an industrial facility
- result in measurable and verifiable energy savings
- not have been contracted at the time of application
- be completed within 18 months from grant approval
How much?
- Up to 50% of the qualifying costs, capped at S$2 million per project.
- Qualifying costs include:
- manpower cost
- equipment and materials
- professional services, e.g. detailed engineering design, and measurement and verification services
- Only projects with a payback* of more than 3 years and up to 7 years will be considered for funding.
- Disbursements will be made on a reimbursement basis in 3 parts. The disbursement schedule is as follows:
Things to note
- Projects must demonstrate measurable and verifiable energy savings to be eligible. If your project involves behavioural or operational changes or saves utilities bill but does not result in measurable and verifiable energy savings, it will not qualify for funding.
- You must submit a measurement and verification (M&V) plan within 3 months of grant approval.
- You must sign your contract(s) with equipment/technology provider(s) within 4 months of grant approval, and submit the contract(s) to the National Environment Agency (NEA).
- You must complete your project and submit your first M&V report within 14 months from the time you submit your equipment or technology provider contracts(s) to NEA.
