Aims

• LEAD funds and assists industry associations who are taking the lead to embark on projects which will result in significant benefits for the whole industry.

For who?

• LEAD supports projects by SFMA that raise the capabilities of the food manufacturing industry.
  
  
• Food manufacturers can participate in LEAD-supported projects run by SFMA.

For what?

• The funds and assistance that SFMA receives under LEAD will be used to:

1. Develop Capabilities Of Small And Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
   A SME Club will be established for SMEs to form partnerships, share knowledge on product development or food safety systems, etc. The Club will also conduct seminars and promote the food industry.
   
   
2. Help Local Food Enterprises Export Their Products
   An Export Club will be established to lead and co-ordinate overseas missions, spearhead participation in major trade shows (e.g. SIAL), organise seminars on export matters, etc.
   
   
3. Establish An Information Resource Centre
   The centre will help food enterprises access information relating to food from product development to manpower recruitment.

• LEAD supports and funds industry associations, not businesses.
  
  
• Food manufacturing businesses benefit from LEAD by participating in LEAD-supported programmes and services provided by SFMA.
