For what?
- The funds and assistance that RAS receives under LEAD will be used to:
- Build a Skilled And Professional F&B Workforce
RAS has set up the Singapore Culinary Institute and will be developing 30-40 F&B training programmes to improve the skills and professionalism of the industry. This will also help to raise the image of the F&B industry and attract more people to join the industry.
- Develop Market Intelligence And Resources For The F&B Sector
RAS will develop a resource database on emerging trends and opportunities, human resources practices and customer segment studies.
- Develop The Capabilities Of F&B Businesses
RAS will help F&B businesses strengthen their business and management capabilities through the use of IT, branding, franchising and internationalisation.
Things to note

- LEAD is part of BUILD (Business Upgrading Initiatives for Long-Term Development) which helps businesses to strengthen their capabilities during the downturn for future growth.
