Any sign including any letter, word, name, signature, numeral, device, brand, heading, label, ticket, shape, colour, aspect of packaging or a combination of these.
E.g. Adidas, Singapore Airlines.
Requirements
Any sign capable of being represented graphically and capable of distinguishing goods and services.
Registration
Yes. However, trade marks that are not registered may be protected under the common law action of "passing off".
Professional fees are charged by the company who is filing the trademark on your behalf. Typical professional fees range from S$500 - S$800 per trade mark for one class of goods.

4 - 6 months depending on many factors (e.g. whether anyone challenges your trademark).
When registering your trade mark, please choose the right "class" of goods or services. Classes 1-34 are for goods only. Classes 35-45 are for services.
The ® symbol indicates that it is a registered trade mark, whereas the ™ symbol indicates that it is an unregistered trade mark in use.
