Registered Designs

REGISTERED DESIGNS For more details, please download the Registered Designs Infopack provided by the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS).
For What?	Shape, configuration, pattern, ornament that is applied to an article by an industrial process. E.g. fabric pattern for a sofa, mobile phone design.
Requirements	1. New 2. Industrial Process - The design has to be applied to an article by an industrial process, i.e. more than 50 copies of the article have been or are intended for production for sale or hire.
Registration	Yes.
- Fees	Registration fees are about S$220 per design and are paid to IPOS. Full list of registration fees. Professional fees are charged by the company who is filing the design on your behalf. Typical professional fees range from S$500 - S$800 per design.
- Estimated Processing Time	2 - 3 months.
- Forms	Download at IPOS.
- Procedures	See instructions at IPOS.
Term Of Protection	Valid for 5 years from date of application. Renewable every 5 years up to maximum of 15 years.
International Protection	Available through the Hague Agreement.
