Industrial Attachments (Internships)
- You can sign your business up as an industrial attachment site. Students will be sent to work in your organisation as part of their curriculum.
- Students can be Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents or foreigners. There are no restrictions, special visas or Work Permits you need to obtain.
- The industrial attachment period can be anywhere from 6 weeks to 1 year depending on the school and course they are attending.
- Students are normally paid a monthly allowance of about S$400 - S$750. You do not need to contribute to their CPF or Skills Development Fund Levy.

Part-Time Or Full-Time Work
- You can also hire students to be your employees. This is different from Industrial Attachments (Internship) as the students are not undergoing any formal or structured training programme.
- Students who are Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents can be hired full-time or part-time.
- Students who are foreigners are generally not allowed to work. The only exception is full-time students of approved educational institutions.
Students are normally paid a monthly allowance of about S$400 - S$750. You will have to pay them CPF unless they are "N", "O" or "A" level students working during their school holidays.
You can advertise to hire students or you can approach any of the educational institutions directly. Some institutions also organise on-campus recruitment fairs and interviews.
