Foreign Students Studying In Singapore
Foreign Students Studying Overseas
Foreign Students Studying In Singapore
- Foreign students who are studying in Singapore are not allowed to hold jobs here. They may be on industrial attachment (internship) at your business as part of their school curriculum.
- However, industrial attachments are not jobs but a form of training. Therefore, the two should not be confused.
Exceptions
- The only exception to the rule applies to full-time foreign students of approved educational institutions. These students must be:
- Student Pass holders; and
- studying at educational institutions approved by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
- Foreign students from approved institutions are allowed to work without the need for a work permit:
- full-time during the school vacations
- part-time during the school term (maximum of 16 hours per week)
