I-Class is the certification for organisations who have achieved the Business Excellence Niche Standard (Innovation). In other words, I-Class is national recognition for organisations that have management systems and processes in place to achieve excellence through innovation. I-Class is one of the 4 certifications under the Business Excellence Framework.

How Does Obtaining I-Class Benefit My Business?

• You can use the I-Class logo on all your collaterals.
  
  
• The logo is a mark of excellence that shows your business:
  
  
  • encourages innovation from within
  • continuously innovates to stay ahead of the competition
  • develops new products and processes

How Do I Apply For I-Class?

• You adopt and strive to meet the Business Excellence Niche Standard (Innovation).
  
  
• When you are confident you have achieved it, apply for the certification online.
  
  
• SPRING Singapore will assign certified assessors to evaluate your systems and processes.
  
  
• I-Class assessment is based on the criterion in the Innovation Scorecard for Business Excellence (I-SCORE) (PDF) self-assessment tool.
  
  
• If you score at least 400 out of 1,000 points in the assessment, you will be awarded the I-Class.
  
  
• If you score 700 or more points, you will also be short listed for the Singapore Innovation Award (I-Award).

How Do I Maintain My I-Class Certification?

• You need to continuously ensure that your management and systems are working well.
  
  
• SPRING Singapore will conduct a mid-term review 1½ years after you have been awarded I-Class. Please refer to the Mid-Term Review Guide (WORD) for details.
  
  
• 3 years after your certification, you will need to renew your certification. Please refer to the Renewal Application Form and Guide (WORD) for details.

Things To Note

• All manufacturing companies applying for Manufacturing Excellence Award (MAXA) must also apply for Singapore Quality Class (SQC).
